Crocheted Pineapple Luncheon Set:  Oval pineapple doilies make an admireable luncheon set. They are crocheted in two sizes 12 by 15 and 17 by 20 inches.   The directions are written in an 'older' format.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  It was marketed Ellen Bruce (Needlework Bureau)  E-1289 in 1947.  

MATERIALS: 600 yds for large - 250 yds. for small - Steel crochet #4, #10 mercerized crochet thread.
