Knitted Turban Toque Hat Pattern Mail Order Design 817

Knitted Hats : This pattern contains directions for two different styled hats; a toque and a turban worked of the fuzzy, silky mohair or in heavy wool. Make the turban in two shades of a color or in two contrasting colors, all in knitting worsted or in a combination of different yarns Both hats are knitted in flat pieces, using two needles, then joined into shape. The toque can be made small or large. The turban will fit all head sizes; it can be worn as shown or with a gather in the front.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 817 in 1962.   The pattern was included in the Needlework Patterns 1968 Catalog.
