Knitted Baby Blanket Pattern, 40 x 40 inches

Knitted Shawl :   This pattern contains direction to knit the piece shown.   This piece was technically termed a shawl, but in a baby pattern book.  The point is well taken, however, fold over and place over your shoulders and it will make a marvelous shawl, or spread out for baby, or place across your lap on a cool evening.   It's is a love piece, measuring 40 x 40 square, with a lush fringe all the way around.  The pattern is vintage 1960s from Columbia Minerva. 

Materials: 

• Columbia-MinervaNantuk Fingering Yarn or Beehive Imported Scotch Fingering Yarn,Patonized (l ounce skein) 14 skeins
• KnittingNeedles: One "Boye" circular needle Size 4-29 inch 
• One"Boye" steel crochet hook size 4

Gauge:1pattern to 2* inches
