Description
Knitted Vest: This knitted vest can be made either of Knitting Worsted, for a wool vest, or of four strands of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton held together for a cotton vest. It is worked in a very easy pattern stitch with a double cable down each side of front. The vest can be made in two sizes - size 12-14 and size 16-18 - both sizes are included in the one pattern.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7244 in 1944.
Materials: 3 (3-3/4 ounce) skeins of white Knitting Worsted or 5 (500 yard) skeins of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton; a pair of No. 6 bone (American) or No. 7 bone (English) knitting needles; and 5 buttons.
