You've seen and approved of the centerpiece (No. 359) and the buffet set (No. 421), so now we present the runner to match both. It's a very adaptable design, too, for as long or as short as you wish, and the center can be filet crochet in place of the linen we've shown here. 

Description

Filet Crochet Runner Pattern :   This pattern gives directions to crochet the runner pictured.   The design depicts a young boy playing a horn surround by plants and floral vase.  Crochet this piece at 18 x 26 inches with linen inset, or create in full filet.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers.   It was marketed as Ruth Orr 426 in 1937.  Two companion pieces are referenced - No. 359, a doily and No 421, a buffet set.   (I do not have either of these patterns).
