Design 566 Maple Leaf Crochet Doily Pattern

Crocheted Doilies : This pattern contains directions for Maple Leaf Doilies in two sizes. They can be combined t form luncheon or buffet or chair sets. The official newspaper write-up: " Set a beautiful table with Maple Leaf Doilies. These are brand new fashion and you will want to be the first to have them!". Depending upon materials used, the small doily is 10 x 11 or 12 x 13 and the large doily is either 12-1/2 x 13 or 14-1/2 x 15.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 566 in 1952.  The pattern was included in the Laura Wheeler 1953 Needlework Designs Catalog.
