Crocheted Block Bedspread Pattern No 6131

Crocheted Bedspread: This pattern gives instructions for crocheting the spread shown. This is an easy design that is worked in rather large -- 8 inch -- square blocks. The blocks are then joined together to form single or double bedspreads. Long tufts of fringe (optional, of course) are added around the three sides. This pattern is vintage 1940s from The Spool Cotton Company.

Materials:   CLARK'S O.N.T. MERCERIZED BEDSPREAD COTTON: Single Size Spread-72 x 108 inches (including fringe)-40 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, Double Size Spread-88 x 108 inches (including fringe)-50 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, OR  J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN: Single Size Spread-72 x 108 inches (including fringe)-40 balls of White or Ecru, or 60 balls of any color, Double Size Spread-88 x 108 inches (including fringe)-50 balls of White or Ecru, or 75 balls of any color;   Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
