Crochet Rose Afghan, Diamond Motifs Design 870

Crocheted Afghan: This crocheted afghan is made of diamonds 8 x 14-1/2 inches, half diamonds 4 x 14-1/2 inches and 8 x 7-1/4 inches and quarter diamonds 4 x 7-1/4 inches. The diamonds are worked in 3 colors, the sections of diamonds are worked in 1 color. If desired each diamond may be made of a different color combination and the sections of diamonds, which form the border are worked in a neutral color such as; black, beige, brown, or gray or all the diamonds may be made the same colors and the medallions of diamonds worked of scrap yarn.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 870 in 1963.   It was earlier released in 1937.
