Description
Crocheted Square: This crocheted square can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and many other household articles.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers. The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1790 in 1938.
MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. Each square requires approximately 37 yards of heavy cotton or 23 yards of fine cotton.
