Crochet Illinois Doily Pattern, Anne Cabot 5530

Vintage 1943

"The original of this doily was made many years ago by the grandmother of Mrs. Harold Seaborn of Mt. Sterling, Illinois. She had kept the old printed instructions, so she told me, for a generation but could not copy the doily from them. I've had an exact and lovely replica made from the heirloom doily. All collectors of old "pineapple" designs will like this one, I'm sure. The elongated "pineapples" and palm-leaf scallops form an unusual design. Completed doily should measure about 11 inches in diameter.
