Description

Crochet Jerry Giraffe:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the stuffed toy pictured.  A 'beginner easy' pattern, Jerry is worked in crochet cotton and stands a proud 12 inches tall.  Create him for a young child, or perhaps a friend that collects Giraffe's.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5565 in 1943.  This cute giraffe was included in Anne Cabot's 1943 Fall Winter Needlework Album

The newspaper description:  Jerry Giraffe is a sort, crocheted toy which will delight the little folks. He stands 12 inches high and is done in inexpensive cotton crochet thread in a light tan color.. Do his "spots" in dark brown yarn or thread. Tie a bow around Jerry's neck and you'll have a most amusing gift for a child.  

MATERIALS REQUIRED: 2 - 80 yd. skeins beige or any color desired. 30 yds. of brown, 1 pkg. kapok for stuffing, NEEDLE: Bone crochet hook #6
