Description
Crocheted Square: This crocheted square can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and buffet sets. Crochet this square at 3-1/2 or 6 inches.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers. The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2422 in 1939.
MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. Each square requires approximately 50 yards of heavy cotton or 33 yards of fine cotton.
