Description
Checked Vest: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the vest pictured. A quite debonaire selection for the young man, this design is checked in two colors, with contrast bands, double breasted and pocket flaps.
SIZES: Directions for size 4. Changes for sizes 6 and 8 are in parentheses. Body Chest Size:23" (24"-26") Blocked Chest (closed): 25" (26"-28").

MATERIALS:
- Coats & Clark's Red Heart Super Fingering, 3 ply, 3 (3-4) 1-oz. pull-out skeins black, main color (MC) ; 2 (2-3) skeins No. 1 white, contrasting color (CC).
- Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 2. (Or English sizes 12 and 11.)
- Four black buttons 5/8" in diameter.
- Steel crochet hook No. 4.
GAUGE: 8 sts =1"; 9 rows = 1" (pat, No. 2 needles).
