Evening Blouse: This pattern gives directions to knit the sweater, or blouse, pictured. The 1942 design was billed as an 'evening blouse'. The picture is not of great quality, but the directions give some great details. First, it's knit in four complimentary colors from the top down. It is long sleeves with small zipper closure at the cuffs, as well as another zipper closure at the side hemline, to keep the garment from being loose. The shoulders have button closure. It is just below hip length and size is given only for misses 14. (Note ... with age of pattern, this probably equates to a size 12).
