Crocheted Carriage Cover: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the blanket shown. Back in the 1940s, when this pattern was released, these blankets were frequently referred to as carriage covers. This one is worked in the pretty star stitch, in Pompadour, Shetland Floss or Germantown (depending upon desired weight). This is a very easy pattern, measuring 36 x 36 inches, that is perfect for a beginners project.
