Crocheted Cloth: This table cloth can either be made of two strands of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton worked together, or of a single strand of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Crochet Cotton. The weight of the cotton governs the size of the cloth. Directions are given telling where to end off to make three sizes in each material. Crochet the tablecloth at 58, 40 or 30 inches, or centerpiece doilies in sizes of 15, 18, 20, 27, 29 or 18 inches.
This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6084 in 1938. "A 58 inch cloth in a jiffy on a big hook with two strands of string!"
