Squirrel Creeper No 168: This pattern gives directions for knitting, crochet edge, the creepers pictured. This designs takes us back to 1951. It's knit in 3-ply fingering wool in garter stitch and has short sleeves, ribbed edges and waist band, with button shoulders and crotch closure. Should you choose, a 3/4 page chart for the squirrel is included. The design is written for todder size 2, with changes for 3 in parentheses.
- Hiawatha Shrink-resistant British 3-Ply Super-fingering Wool, Art. 30, 5 skeins Blue; 1 skein White for trimming.
- Knitting needles Nos. 2 and 3 (standard). English sizes, 11 and 10.
- 4 small buttons for shoulders and 4 medium buttons for crotch.
Gauge: 7 sts=1" ; 10 rows=1".
