Crochet Ballet Slippers Pattern Design 1125


Ballet Slippers: This pattern gives directions to crochet the slippers pictured. "This Ballet slipper, so soft and easy to wear as house, play or bedroom slipper, has a simple construction which may be worn plain or decorated in many attractive ways. Small, Medium and large. Bows sit front or back, finish with cross stitches or sequins".

This is a Mail Order Design Pattern, purchased through newspapers. This pattern is Design 1125; I do not know the marketing name. The directions are written 'older style', making me think time period may be 1940's.


  • 1 ball cotton rug yarn, for a strong sole
  • 1 - 2 oz. ball heavy 4 ply worsted in a matching or contrasting yarn, for inner sole and upper
  • 1 No. 00 steel crochet hook
  • Decorations Suggested: (1) velvet bows – 1 ½ yd. 2" wide ribbon. cross-stitch, sequins

GAUGE: 4 sts - 1" Work thru both loops of sts thruout
